The years between 1988 and 2000 mark the entire span during which the Rolex Day-Date 18238 was manufactured. The reference emerged at the tail-end of the decade when Rolex was upgrading the mechanical features of the Day-Date model without deviating from its 36mm size and use of precious metals.
