The TUDOR Pelagos LHD 25610TNL was introduced in 2016 as a specialised version of the Pelagos, with LHD standing for “Left Hand Drive”. Its most obvious change was the winding crown being moved from the conventional 3 o’clock position to 9 o’clock, allowing the watch to be worn on the right wrist with the crown facing the hand. TUDOR did more than relocate the crown, however.
The LHD received its own dial details, movement and numbered caseback, giving reference 25610TNL an identity separate from the standard Pelagos rather than making it simply a reversed version of the same watch. The model also connects with an earlier practice at TUDOR, as the brand has documented left handed divers’ watches supplied to professionals in the past. The 25610TNL subsequently became one of the longest running specialist references within the modern Pelagos collection.
Defining Features
Turn the 25610TNL over and one of its more unusual details becomes visible: each watch carries an individual production number engraved on the caseback. TUDOR introduced the Pelagos LHD as a numbered series rather than announcing a conventional limited run with a fixed final quantity. That distinction is worth knowing when looking at a pre owned piece because the engraved number belongs specifically to that watch.
From the front, the LHD is recognisable without checking the engraving. The 42mm case is made from titanium, as is the bracelet, while the winding crown sits at 9 o’clock. A black ceramic insert fills the unidirectional rotating bezel, and its diving graduations are luminous for visibility underwater. The black dial uses square hour markers and TUDOR’s Snowflake hands, but the colour treatment is warmer than on the standard Pelagos. Beige toned luminous material is combined with red lettering, while the date disc alternates between red and black numerals. This is still a serious diving watch beneath those reference specific details. The case is water resistant to 500 metres and incorporates a helium escape valve at 3 o’clock. The valve is relevant during saturation diving, where helium that has entered the watch during prolonged exposure to a pressurised environment needs a controlled route out as pressure decreases.

Shifting the crown over to the left side has effects beyond just changing the look of the watch. The internal mechanics had to be adjusted to account for the inverted design, hence why the manufacturer designed the case with the Manufacture Calibre MT5612 LHD in mind. It is an automatic COSC certified chronometer movement that comes with a silicon balance spring and has an estimated power reserve of around 70 hours. The date window stays at 3 o'clock despite the shift in the crown’s location.
The LHD designation also has a historical basis. TUDOR has produced watches configured for left handed professional divers before the modern Pelagos existed. One documented watch was made for a left handed French Navy diver in the 1980s, with the crown placed on the left side so that it could be worn on the right wrist. The 25610TNL takes that practical idea and incorporates it into a modern Pelagos rather than attempting to reproduce the older military watch visually.
The bracelet is another part of the watch that was designed around diving rather than appearance alone. TUDOR uses a titanium folding clasp with its patented spring loaded adjustment system, allowing the bracelet to respond to changes in wrist or wetsuit thickness. There is also a mechanical extension setting for wearing the watch over thicker diving equipment. An additional rubber strap with an extension piece was supplied with the watch, so its presence is relevant when considering how complete a pre owned set remains.
