The TAG Heuer Carrera CBK221F.FC6479 had a very limited production of 500 pieces at its launch in 2021. This particular watch took after the dimensions of the initial Carrera Chronograph watches; however, it incorporated an unusual color which was not available in the first edition of 1963. Teal, which looks like blue sometimes and green at others depending on the lighting, was placed within a 39mm polished steel case. The familiar proportions combined with the unusual dial made this particular watch different from many other heritage collections. This TAG Heuer model has been discontinued.
Defining Features
The teal color face is an attention-grabbing one, but then there is much more to this distinctive shade than that alone. Whether it is a blue or a green colored watch will depend on the lighting under which you view it, but the contrasting chronograph dial offsets this effect. The fact that the chronograph dials have the usual 3, 6 and 9 o'clock configuration ensures that it is a balanced dial. A vintage style Heuer logo appears beneath 12 o'clock, another small detail that connects this modern special edition with the collection's earlier years.
The 39mm polished stainless steel case is certainly more subtle than a lot of other larger Carrera chronographs that were available at this time. The case style takes its cue from the original 1963 Carrera model in the lug design, and the recessed “glass box” sapphire crystal makes the watch look like one with the more aged acrylic crystal but still maintains the scratch resistant sapphire element.
The rigid steel bezel ensures that nothing complex occurs at the edges of the timepiece, while the watch has a water-resistance capacity of 100 meters. The TAG Heuer opted for the use of the black alligator leather strap together with a polished steel folding clasp to make the teal dial the primary feature.

This caliber has approximately 80 hours of power reserve, and it uses a column wheel and vertical clutch inside the chronograph. It can time quarters of seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours.
TAG Heuer did not ignore the dial colour when finishing the movement either. Green detailing appears on the rotor and column wheel, carrying the theme of the watch into its mechanics.That makes it a good point about the Carrera with which the color plays such a key role in the design of the watch. The limited edition of 500 pieces, the peculiar teal dial, and the Heuer 02 movement make the CBK221F.FC6479 watch stand out from normal Carrera chronographs produced at that time.
