The Rolex Daytona Ref. 116519 was manufactured as a part of the modern precious metal collection of Daytona watches and is currently one of the current references of the line. The reference features a slate dial with three chronograph registers for elapsed seconds, 30 minute timer and 12 hour timer. Hour markers are applied on the dial and filled with Chromalight luminescent material.
Power comes from the Calibre 4130, an automatic chronograph movement from Rolex designed to fit the Cosmograph Daytona. The movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch mechanism, ensuring accuracy in the operation of the chronograph and minimizing mechanical stress. The movement ticks at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and has an approximate power reserve of 72 hours.
The watch wears a rubber bracelet that adds comfort and flexibility to the reference and matches the sporty feel of the Daytona. This together with the precious metal case gives this reference a modern specification different from its predecessors with white gold Daytona cases.
