Model Reference
Twenty~4 was launched by Patek Philippe in 1999 with the specific purpose of developing a watch that could be worn only by women, without using any existing men's watches as a basis. This collection got its own unique features such as the curved rectangular case and bracelet6, which became one of the most distinctive watches manufactured by Patek Phlippe.
Ref 4910/1200A 011 is one of the new generation watches in the Twenty~4 cuff style collection. The design of the watch follows the original design, but olive green dial gives a new personality to the reference as the Patek Philippe has been recently doing in some other collections also.
Colour plays an important role in the design of the 4910/1200A 011. Rather than opting for a more traditional neutral dial colour, the company chose to use an olive green sunburst dial whose shade alters according to whether the light source is artificial or natural. Based on the light's position, the dial takes on a dark shade of green or metallic shades.
The dial furniture is purposely minimalist. The dial features white gold numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock positions, as well as the hour markers that are applied. This gives the watch some contrast without overshadowing the background. Recessed baton-style hands made from white gold and luminescent coating continue to reflect the symmetrical theme.
Instead of being mounted on the bezel, the 36 brilliant-cut diamonds are mounted on two polished tracks that run vertically on both sides of the case. This design replicates the original design of the Twenty~4 collection that first appeared in 1999 and retains the characteristic geometric lines that are reminiscent of the Art Deco architectural style. Overall the diamonds have a weight of 0.47 carats.
Even though it resembles jewellery, the watch is designed to be a regular timepiece. It comes in a case made of stainless steel with dimensions of 25.1 x 30mm and thickness of 6.8mm; the polished stainless steel bracelet is attached directly to the case and fastened using the same material through a fold over clasp. The engraved Calatrava Cross adorns the crown of the watch which is characteristic of many models in the Patek Philippe range.
The movement is quartz Calibre E15 from Patek Philippe. It is specially designed from compact rectangular watches and comes with dimensions of 15 x 13mm, has 57 components, uses 6 jewels, beats at 32,768Hz frequency and runs on 1.55V silver oxide battery, which provides three years of operation. The water resistance is 30 metres.
The Patek Philippe Twenty-4, the brand’s first exclusive feminine collection, was meticulously designed as the perfect companion for the modern, active woman. Crafted to be worn effortlessly throughout the day and night, on any occasion.

Many watches develop their case designs through alterations to its overall proportions. In the case of the 4910/1200A 011, the development process follows another route. Over two decades since the creation of the Twenty~4, the proportions of the watch have not been changed in any substantial way as the original design is still very much the core of the entire collection.
Patek Philippe makes changes to each watch within the range through its construction from various materials and by working on finishes and dials rather than changing their cases. One of the best examples is the olive green dial which brings modern touches to the watch without taking away its identity. White gold accents, polished steel, and vertically placed diamonds ensure the balance of design is kept.
Among other watches in the collection, the Patek Philippe Twenty~4 4910/1200A 011 stands for continuing the idea of the original cuff watch style design of the Twenty~4.
