What is a Pepsi watch?

The Rolex Pepsi is likely one of the most famous Rolex colour nicknames. Despite the name, the original Rolex Pepsi was originally made in collaboration with Pan Am Airlines in the 1950s. Rolex released a GMT-Master with the red and blue colouring of Pan Am airlines, but these colours were also synonymous with the famous Pepsi soft drink brand. It quickly earned the Pepsi nickname from the watch community, and there have been many Pepsi releases ever since. You can find GMT-Masters and GMT-Master II watches with the Pepsi colouring.

What is a Root Beer watch?

The first Rolex Root Beer colour watches were released in the 1970s. Also using the GMT-Master and GMT-Master II, Root Beer watches are characterised by brown and cream colouring. If you’re familiar with the soft drink, then you’ll likely be able to imagine what these watches look like from a colour standpoint. Typically these watches are two-tone and are made with stainless steel and gold.
